  • Have you tried to use Twitter and gotten frustrated? So have I

Do you want to effectively market efforts on social networks? Do you want to effectively communicate your message to your customers? Do you want to effectively respond to customer issues? If you have multiple people in your team, do you want to coordinate your efforts? Do you have a set of twitter ids that you want to use together for your company? These are the challenges that I saw when I first started working with Twitter. I found that calling it micro blogging was really stretching what it could do in comparison to the features that I have with blogs. I talked about this with others, and lo and behold, we were all having the same problems. We started to work with the Twitter API and over the course of the past six months, we have developed many of the features that twitter is missing plus a few that they won’t have.

Here are a few of the features that we have implemented at this point:
    • Teaming.  A business is able to coordinate its efforts amongst multiple users.
    • Users can allow other team members to see what posts are upcoming.
    • Users can email information to other users for their input.
    • Reliable posting of tweets to Twitter.
    • Scheduled posting of tweets to Twitter. You can schedule a post for 4:00 pm next Thursday to announce a new product.  At 4:00 pm next Thursday, that tweet will appear on twitter.
    • Posting of rss entries to Twitter. For example, you can post to your blog/calendar a new entry. That post will appear on your twitter feed.
    • Posting to multiple twitter ids from a single login. For example, you may have three twitter ids for your business. You can easily switch between them with our app.
    • Read your stream as well as Reply, ReTweet, Direct Message, and Tweet from a single interface and not lose your spot in the stream.
    • Twitter allows you to follow thousands of people. We’ve implemented a feature to view the streams of a set of users together into a Group.
    •  And more features are coming.

  • Working on an app

I've been away for a while, only moderately blogging and podcasting. I'm trying to get this app going and trying to see if there is a possible market for this, including seeing if there is any possible money to get this going in the angel funding / venture capital area.

  • Monotouch - Mono (.NET) for the iPhone/iTouch

I've been reading a lot about development on the iPhone/iTouch.  I've been reading about using Mono and Unity.  You put a bunch of code together, mix vigourously, and out pops some .NET Code running  on the iPhone/iTouch.  It reads like a major pain to get working.  While I would have to buy a copy of Unity, that's not a big deal, its the getting it working part.  Then, just the other day, I read that the Mono Project is working on MonoTouch.  At that point, I just started druelling.  I download MonoDevelop for my Mac.  It works, but its clerly an early product.  Anyway, I'm excited about the possibilities.  We'll see what the product looks like in August/September.
