Recent talks

Since I've been offline, I haven't kept up with where I've been to an spoken.  I went to Little Rock and spoke at the Tech Expo on March 27.  Michael Neel and Alan Stevens, both from Knoxville, made the trip.  After my second talk was over, I had to head out immediately and head to Atlanta for the Atlanta Code Camp.  Boy, that's a fun 525 mile trip.  From Little Rock, you head back to Memphis on I-40.  In Memphis, you get on US-78.  After about 10 miles, it turns into a limited access highway, and you follow it to Birmingham.  I made it to Birmingham right in time for rush hour there.  After dinner, I limped into Atlanta.  I worked on Friday at our office, then went to the gym, followed by the speaker's dinner.  On Saturday, I had a 10:30 am meeting.  Due to the length of the meeting, I was unable to make my 1:00 pm talk.  I called my buddy Jim Wooley to let him know.  I showed up 5 minutes late for my 2:20 talk.  I felt like a complete moron for that, but life is what happens while you are making plans.  I finally made it home about 8:30 pm that evening.  I was almost home when my buddy David Silverlight, from Miami, called to ask what I was doing that night...................
