Visual Studio 2008 - Wednesday August 1, 2007

Well, the "Goto Definition" functionality seems to be working now.  I have no idea why.

I converted another solution.  The solution seems to have moved over ok.  VSS 2005 doesn't seem to have moved over very well.  In fact, I can't get connected from VS.NET 2k8 to my VSS 2k5 database.  For whatever reason, it no worky.  I have posted some questions about this in the forums at asp.net. I googled as well, but didn't find anything.  My guess is that I haven't installed something, so I am hoping to resolve this fairly quickly.

Thankfully, I was able to go back to working with the application under VS.NET 2005.  Project files seem to be backward compatible.  The Solution files definitely aren't.

Have you seen the new icon?  It has the VS.NET icon with a "9" up in the corner.  Very cool.
